The seven chakras are the body's principal energy centres. You've certainly heard people talk about "unblocking" their chakras, which refers to the concept that when all of our chakras are open, energy can freely flow through them and the physical body, mind, and spirit are in harmony.
Red - A blocked root chakra can cause medical ailments such as arthritis, constipation, and bladder or intestinal troubles, as well as emotional ones such as insecurity about money or our basic wants and well-being. We will feel anchored and comfortable, both physically and emotionally, when it is in alignment and open.

Orange - A blocked sacral chakra can cause problems with the associated organs, such as urinary tract infections, lower back pain, and impotency, can indicate an issue with this chakra. This chakra is emotionally linked to our sentiments of self-worth, particularly our thoughts of self-worth related to pleasure, sexuality, and creativity.

Yellow - Digestive problems such as ulcers, heartburn, eating disorders, and indigestion are common symptoms of a blocked solar plexus chakra. It is the chakra that represents our personal power. This suggests it has something to do with our self-esteem and confidence.
Green - Heart problems, asthma, and weight problems can all be symptoms of blockages in the heart chakra. People with blocked heart chakras frequently put others before themselves, to their harm. It's in the middle of the seven chakras, thus it connects our higher and lower chakras, as well as our ability to love and connect with others. When our chakras are out of whack, we can feel lonely, insecure, and isolated.
Light blue - This chakra, as one might imagine, is linked to our ability to communicate verbally. A blocked throat chakra might be indicated by problems with the voice and throat, as well as any problems with the teeth, gums, and mouth. Dominating conversations, gossiping, speaking without thinking, and having difficulty speaking your thoughts are all signs of blocks or misalignment. When you're in alignment, you'll speak and listen with compassion, and you'll be confident in your words because you'll know you're being true to yourself.

Dark blue - Because this chakra is physically positioned on the head, obstructions can cause headaches, vision or concentration problems, and hearing concerns. People who have difficulty listening to reality (who appear to "know it all") or who are not in touch with their intuition may also be experiencing a block. People are supposed to follow their intuition and be able to perceive the broader picture when they are open and aligned.
Purple - Because the crown chakra is connected to all of the other chakras (and thus all of the organs in this system), it affects not only those organs, but also our brain and nervous system. It is known as the enlightenment chakra and reflects our spirituality and connection to our life's mission. Those who have their crown chakra blocked may appear closed-minded, sceptical, or unyielding. When this chakra is open, it is said to aid in the opening of all other chakras and to offer happiness and enlightenment to the person.
Wet your hands or flannel, then rub the soap gently until the bar lathers up. Massage the lather over your face or body before rinsing with warm water. Avoid contact with eyes. Leave the soap to drain. In the event that the soap gets into the eyes, rinse with clean water. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Not suitable for children under 3 years old.
This soap is cut to approximately 7cm x 8cm x 2.5cm and weighs between 4.2 to 5.1 oz (Guidelines only).
Soap is made by mixing oil (or fats) and water. But because oil and water don’t mix, lye (sodium hydroxide) is also added. Therefore, soap is made from oils (or fats), water and lye in perfectly calculated amounts to ensure safety. However, once these individual ingredients have been mixed, they go through a process known as saponification. It is a scientific or chemical reaction and thus the individual ingredients are now transformed into another form, including natural occurring glycerine, which is simply a by-product of saponification. Put another way: though no glycerine is added to any of our vegan handmade soaps, the natural process of making our soaps means during the process, glycerine is formed.
So, whilst the oils we use (Olive Oil, Coconut oil and Rapeseed Oil) are ones you would find in your kitchen, once they are mixed with the other ingredients necessary to make soap, it is a UK government requirement that we now must use the scientific names when listing them on our packing.
Olive Oil, Coconut oil, Rapeseed Oil, water, lye will now look like: Sodium Olivate, Sodium Cocoate and Sodium Rapeseedate.
We often choose to add some essential oils or fragrances, colourings and or botanicals such as petals to some of our soaps to make the beautiful patterns and designs. Each individual ingredient e.g. lemongrass, lavender bud, tea tree and patchouli must also be listed in their scientific names.
I know, it makes it look as though the ingredients are no longer recognisable, but I can assure you that our soaps are still made with lots and lots of love, with the intention of not using any unnecessary ingredients or chemicals.
We hope this will give you a better understanding of why the ingredients list may sometime look long and the names unfamiliar.
